50mm Waterproof Laminated Padlock – Coated Shackle, High-Vis Yellow Gate & Yard Lock

The 50mm Waterproof Laminated Padlock is the mid-size in the yellow laminated range. Layered steel construction handles a hammer or a chisel better than a single cast body, and the whole lot sits inside an over-moulded thermoplastic case.

What sets this range apart is that the case covers the shackle as well as the body. Most weatherproof padlocks coat the body and leave the shackle bare — which is the half actually exposed to rain, and the half that rusts and seizes. Here the hardened Ø10.5mm shackle is encased too. The case is moulded onto the lock rather than slipped over it, so there is no edge to lift, peel or prise away. Behind that sits a brass cylinder and double bolt locking, holding the shackle at both legs.

The high-visibility yellow body is easy to pick out on a gate, a site cage or a rack of black locks — useful when several people need to find the right lock in a hurry.
