50mm Waterproof Laminated Padlock – Sealed Keyway, Ø10mm Shackle, Gate & Shed Lock

The 50mm Waterproof Laminated Padlock is the largest of the N-series and the first one in that range with a shackle worth calling heavy. At Ø10mm it is more than double the section of the 30mm, and with 22mm of clearance it takes a proper gate hasp rather than just a cabinet latch.

The body is laminated steel — layer after layer of plate rather than a single casting, so there is nothing to crack under a hammer — sealed inside an over-moulded thermoplastic case. The case is moulded onto the lock rather than slipped over it, so there is no edge to lift, peel or prise off. Behind it a rubber waterproof ring closes off the keyway with a solid brass all-copper lock core, so the mechanism stays dry. An unsealed padlock on an exposed gate is usually stiff within a season and seized within two.
