The 75mm Waterproof Wave Shell Padlock is the big one in the styled range — a serious outdoor lock that happens to look good doing it. The contoured shell is a design choice rather than a security one, and it is the reason to pick this over the plain covered version: fit it on a front gate, a shopfront shutter or anywhere the padlock is part of what people see.

The security is not decoration. The shackle is hardened A3 steel at Ø11.8mm with 39mm of clearance, which takes a decent hasp or chain. A rubber waterproof ring seals the keyway, and behind that seal sits an all-copper lock core running six brass pins — one more than a standard house door cylinder, and two or three more than the padlocks it sits beside on a shelf. More pins means more for a rake or a pick to defeat; the seal is the difference between a lock that still turns next winter and one you end up cutting off.

Five steel keys come in the pack, so a small crew or a couple of vehicles can each carry one.
