90mm Cross-Key Solid Brass Block Padlock – Prying-Resistant Shutter, Container & Truck Box Lock

The 90mm Cross-Key Solid Brass Block Padlock is the top of the brass range and a block, not a conventional padlock. There is no U-shackle: a Ø12mm hardened steel bolt slides across a slot cut into a solid brass body, so an attacker has almost no exposed metal to get a bar behind or a bolt cutter around. That is why this style is the usual choice for roller shutters and container doors.

Two things separate it from the standard 90mm brass block. The cylinder uses a cross (cruciform) keyway — four rows of brass pins instead of one, which is a great deal harder to pick or rake than a standard flat key. And the bolt is held by stainless steel ball locking rather than brass bolts. It also has a deeper body and a taller slot, so it takes a chunkier hasp. The solid brass body will not rust or streak, so it can live outside permanently.

Check your fitting first: the slot opening is 36mm wide by 24mm high — your hasp or shutter latch has to pass through it, so measure before ordering. This style cannot be used with a chain.
