Combination Chain Lock 6mm x 1000mm – Keyless Heavy Duty Bike, Scooter & Gate Security Chain

The Combination Chain Lock is a 1000mm run of 6mm hardened steel links with the lock built into the chain — no separate padlock to lose, and no shackle hanging out where a bolt cutter can reach it. A metre is enough to get around a wheel and a post, through a gate and its frame, or around a trailer coupling.

The lock is a 5-digit combination, which is worth noting: that is 100,000 possible codes against the 10,000 you get from the usual four dials, and there is no key to cut, lose or hand around. Set your own code and that is the end of it.

The chain is sheathed in a woven polyester (Terylene) sleeve doing two jobs — keeping the links off your paintwork and spokes, and keeping rain and grit off the steel so the chain does not rust solid or mark the bike it is protecting. Suits motorcycles and scooters, bicycles, gates and fencing, trailers and wheels.

Setting your own code

Your lock arrives set to 0-0-0-0-0.

1. Line the dials up on 00000 against the marker line, then remove the lock screw.
2. Turn the lock head 90° clockwise and dial in the code you want.
3. Turn the lock head back anti-clockwise and press the screw home.
4. Point the lock port down and press the lever to finish.

There is no key and no override, so pick a code you will remember.
