Three shower screen parts here replace Showerite™ blocks: a pick-up block in black, the same block in white, and a set of three sill blocks in black. A range made up entirely of blocks tells you where these screens fail. The plastic blocks that carry and locate the sliding panel wear through or go brittle, the door drops in its channel and starts catching on the sill, while the screen itself is usually still sound. The same blocks replace Ideal™, Regency™, Norfe™ and BGC® parts, so fitment comes down to shape rather than brand. Take the old block out and compare its profile and the spigot that engages the door, and check whether you need the pick-up block or the sill blocks, as they sit in different positions and are not interchangeable. Colour is the remaining choice.
