TradeBase Aluminium Insect Screen Mesh – 1220mm x 30m

Durable, lightweight black epoxy-coated aluminium mesh for windows, doors and enclosures. Low glare, corrosion resistant, and rated for bushfire screening up to BAL-29.

Specifications

• Material: Aluminium alloy, black epoxy / powder coat
• Weave: 18 x 16 strands per inch
• Wire diameter: 0.29 mm (290 micron)
• Aperture: ~1.12 mm x 1.30 mm (max 1.30 mm – under the 2 mm bushfire limit)
• Finish: Black epoxy – low glare, corrosion resistant
• Roll size: 1220 mm wide x 30 m

Bushfire & Standards Compliance

Manufactured to AS 3959:2018. With a maximum aperture of 1.30 mm (below the 2 mm limit), this aluminium mesh meets the deemed-to-satisfy screening requirements for BAL-12.5, BAL-19 and BAL-29 bushfire attack levels.

Please note: AS 3959:2018 does not permit aluminium screening above BAL-29. For BAL-40 you must use corrosion-resistant steel – see our 316 marine-grade stainless mesh. Not suitable for BAL-FZ.
