Wide Stile Mortice Lock & Lever Set WL60-3 – Cylinder Outside / Turn Snib Inside

A wide stile lock is a mortice lock with a 60 mm backset, made for commercial doors with a wider stile. The WL60 is a latch, the WB60 a deadbolt and the WH60 a hook bolt for sliding doors. All three take an oval cylinder and pair with the WL wide plates, levers and escutcheons in this range.

The WL60-3D set and the matching handed internal plate have a large accessible (disability) snib on the inside. The internal plate is handed, and the hand is read from outside the door, which catches people out. Check which side the hinges are on from the outside before ordering left or right.

The number describes what sits on each side of the door. -1 has a cylinder outside and inside. -2 has a cylinder outside and a plain plate inside. -3 has a cylinder outside and a turn snib inside. -4 is always locked outside, with a key that retracts the latch, and always open inside. -5 is a passage set that never locks.
